This page explains how Phone Adda handles information on the website phoneadda.in. Phone Adda sells second-hand mobiles and laptops from shops in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh and Buxar, Bihar. We have tried to keep this simple and to describe only what the website actually does.
1. Browsing the website
You can browse phones, laptops and the FAQ without giving us any personal details. Like any website, when your browser loads our pages, technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type is received by the services that deliver the site (see section 5).
2. Information you give us
The website has no account or login for customers, and nothing is paid on the website. When you use a form, the website prepares a WhatsApp message with your details. The message reaches us only if you press Send in WhatsApp.
- Book a phone: your name, mobile number, the phone and offer you chose, and the day you plan to visit the store.
- Sell or exchange a phone: your name, mobile number, your phone's brand, model and condition, and the phone you want in exchange (optional). Photos are sent by you in the WhatsApp chat.
- Cart and delivery address: the phones in your cart and, if you add an address: full name, mobile number, house or building, area, landmark (optional), city, state, PIN code, and whether it is a home or work address. The address is included in your order message on WhatsApp. You can skip it and collect from the store.
- Calls and messages: if you call or message 8081584830, we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us.
3. Location (optional)
In the delivery address form you can tap "Use my current location". Your browser asks for your permission first. If you allow it, your approximate coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service so it can suggest an address, and the map pin is added to your order message if you save the address. If you do not want to share your location, type your address instead.
4. Information saved on your device
The website saves some information in your browser (local storage) on your own device: the items in your cart, your saved delivery address, and a recent copy of stock data so pages load faster. This stays on your device until you remove it. You can use "Change" or "Remove" on the saved address in the cart, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
5. Analytics and other services
- Google Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to see how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and whether visitors tap the WhatsApp, call, directions or Instagram buttons. It uses cookies or similar technology and receives information such as pages viewed, device and browser, and approximate location. IP anonymisation is turned on, and we do not send your name, number or address to Google Analytics. It is not run for browsers that send a "Do Not Track" signal. You can also use Google's opt-out browser add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Supabase: our product list and photos are stored with Supabase and loaded when you open the website. Your forms, cart and address are not sent to it.
- Google reviews box (when shown): if a Google reviews box appears on the home page, it is provided by a third-party review service and loaded from that service's servers when you scroll to it. That service receives your IP address and may use its own cookies. See that service's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: the website's fonts are loaded from Google, so Google receives your IP address when the fonts load.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim: used only if you choose "Use my current location" (see section 3).
- WhatsApp (Meta), Google Maps and Instagram: when you tap the buttons that open these, you leave our website and their own privacy policies apply.
6. How we use your information
We use the details you send us to reply to you, confirm a phone's availability and price, call you to confirm a booking, arrange delivery or a store visit, give a quote when you sell or exchange a phone, and answer questions about your purchase. We use analytics information to improve the website.
7. Your choices
- You can call or visit the shop instead of using the website forms.
- You can skip the delivery address and location, and collect from the store.
- You can remove your saved address in the cart, or clear this site's data in your browser.
- You can block cookies or turn on "Do Not Track" in your browser to stop analytics.
- If you want us to correct or delete details you have sent us, contact us using the details below and we will do our best to help.
8. Changes to this page
If the website starts collecting different information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
